Gregorio Esparza Obituary
He is survived by his wife of 56 years, Mariana, his daughters, Delia (George) Mendoza and their children, George, Jacqueline and Jacob; Dalinda (Tomas) Liguez and their children Celeste, Tommy, Lauren and Isaac. He was predeceased by his daughter, Dena Hunter and her children are Erika, Nicole (deceased) and Daina.
He was predeceased by his mother Tirsa and all of his siblings: Thomas, Lupe, Esther, Ricardo, Eva and Carlos.
Gregorio was a teacher and administrator for several districts: Brownsville, McAllen and Donna and taught part time for STC. He was an active TSTA/NEA member and lector at church.
He enjoyed his grandchildren, loved reading and listening to music and reconnecting with former students especially the Hanna High School class of 1978.
He served in the National Guard and we are eternally grateful for all the support provided by the Veterans Administration which allowed us with more time with him.
He wanted the best for all he met. He gave generously and loved abundantly. His memory will live on in all of us.
Visitation will be from 1-4 pm Wednesday, Oct. 12, 2022 at Kreidler Funeral Home. At 6:30 a Rosary will be read at Holy Spirit Catholic Church. Funeral mass will be held at 10 a.m. Thursday, Oct.13 at Holy Spirit Church. Burial will follow at 1:00 pm at the RGV State Veteran's Cemetery.
