HAROLD OLAUSEN Obituary

HAROLD "JOSE" OLAUSEN
MISSION - Harold "Jose" Olausen (formerly of Minneapolis) passed away August 30, 2010 at his home in Southern Oasis in Mission TX. He retired in 1984 after 40 years in the grain business at Harvest States in St. Paul MN. After relocating to Texas in 1984 he enjoyed working with Mission Duncan Insurance for many years.  He also volunteered at the Mission Chamber of Commerce where he founded the Good Neighbor Club.  He is preceded in death by: Father Hans, Mother Ellen, brothers Donald, George, Floyd, sisters Hazel and Marion.  He is survived by: Wife Pat (Wiles), Daughter Deb (Carpenter), Son Dean Olausen, Grandchildren Cody Carpenter, Caitlin Olausen, Kristin Olausen, Great Grandson Landon, sister Mildred Widmark, many nieces and nephews. A celebration of life service will be held Friday December 10th 10:00 a.m. at Ric Brown Funeral Home, 621 East Griffin Parkway, Mission TX 78572  956-583-6333. In lieu of flowers, memorials are preferred to Heart of the Valley Hospice. The family would like to extend their heartfelt thanks to Heart of the Valley Hospice Care and Ric Brown Funeral Home for their loving care and support.

I always enjoyed seeing and visiting with "Jose". What a great guy. A good friend, customer and help to our young company back in 1985 forward and Jose always had a good word or wise insight for me.

What great memories I have of Jose. He had some wonderful words of wisdom for me when we were just starting our business, Charisma construction and I'm thankful to have known him and had the privilege to be around a such a positive and uplifting person.
