Ivan Miranda Obituary
Ivan graduated from IDEA Prep/Weslaco in 2020. Ivan was a volunteer at KNAPP and former martial arts student of Mr. Raul Cantu.
Ivan was born November 23, 2001, in Chicago, Illinois only son to Marisa Miranda. Ivan moved to Weslaco in 2003 when his mother passed to live with his grandparents who later adopted him.
He is preceded in death by his biological mother Marisa Miranda.
He is survived by his parents Evangelina Miranda and Daniel Miranda Sr. His uncles and aunts Manuela Lopez, Noel Villarreal, Susan White, Alfredo Miranda, Julio Miranda and Daniel Miranda Jr.
Public Visitation will be on Thursday, June 17, 2021, from 12:00-8:00 p.m. Rosary will be on Thursday, June 17, 2021, at 6 p.m.
Funeral mass will Be at St. Joan of Arc Catholic Church on Friday, June 18, 2021, at 10 a.m. Interment will follow at Val Verde Memorial Gardens at 11:30 a.m.

Ivan was an amazing young man who I had the pleasure of watching grow throughout his high school career. He was very friend oriented and would do anything for those he cared about. He was very considerate of others and kind. One memory I’ll always have is the fun he had when volunteering for the haunted hallway every year. He will be missed by everyone who had the pleasure of knowing him. Rest In Peace, Ivan.

To put it plain, Ivan was one of my closet friends, though he was so much more. He was someone I felt I could be so open with him no matter what my problem was. I was able to talk to him about anything and expect no judgement at all. He was so considerate, so caring, and put his friends first. It was so painful to see him drift away from us. I've never felt such a feeling before. Although even after he drifted apart, I cannot forgot what a good friend he was. No matter what happened after we all split up, I cannot forgot forget what you did for us all. I hope you're resting well, be well, Ivan. We love you so much, don't forget it.

Ivan was my best friend. He was my first true friend I had since the 6th grade. I was very caring & comforting, like the Iron Giant he was. Despite how distance we were towards the end, I always cared & worried for him. I appreciate the many memories we´ve made over the years & I will cherish them till the end. Rest well, Ivan. Love you.
