JOSE ALVAREZ Obituary
McALLEN- Jose Luis Alvarez, 72, left to be with the Lord on Wednesday, August 25, 2010, in McAllen. Mr. Alvarez was born to Mr. Manuel Alvarez and Mrs. Maria Luiza Zuniga on December 12, 1937 in Guanajuato, Mexico. Left to cherish his memory is his beloved wife, Rosa Zamora; caring children, Blanca (Luis) Guerrero, Jose Manuel (Maria) Alvarez, Raul (Rosa) Alvarez, Joe (Mary) Alvarez, Marco Antonio Alvarez, Nydia (Victor) Alonzo, Marivel (Ronnie) Vasquez, and Angie (Ricardo) Valdez. Survivors also include 17 grandchildren and 5 great-grandchildren. He will forever live in the memories of all who knew him. Visitation for Mr. Jose Luis Alvarez was held on Thursday, August 26, 2010 at Virgil Wilson Memorial Chapel from 1 p.m. to 9 p.m. with a prayer service held at 7 p.m. Chapel Service conducted by Daniel Caballero and Ariel Martinez will take place Friday, August 27, 2010 at 1 p.m. at Virgil Wilson Memorial Chapel in Mission. Serving as pallbearers are: Jose Manuel Alvarez, Raul Alvarez, Joe Alvarez, Marco Antonio Alvarez, Victor Alonzo, Ronnie Vasquez and Ricardo Valdez. Interment will follow to Lord & I Cemetery in Palmview. Funeral arrangements have been entrusted to the care of Virgil Wilson Mortuary of Mission.
