JOVITA MARROQUIN Obituary

JOVITA M. MARROQUIN
WESLACO - Jovita M. Marroquin, 70, our beautiful, forever faithful and most wonderful mother on this earth went home with the Lord on Tues. Jan. 5, 2010 surrounded by her family. We find comfort and strength knowing that she is with our Lord and is being gently cradled in his arms.
She was born Feb. 15, 1939 in Weslaco, TX; daughter of Pedro & Senaida Medeles.
She is preceded in death by her parents and her brother Pedro Medeles Jr.
She is survived by her loving and devoted husband of 52 years Antonio Marroquin; sons: Alberto (Thelma) & Eloy Marroquin; her daughters: Estella (Courtney) Jefferson, Elva (Reynaldo) Rey & Elma (Kenneth) Williams; her sisters that never left her side, Maria Gonzalez & Gloria Bustamante, 10 grandchildren, and numerous nieces and nephews whom she loved very much.
Our precious mother found goodness in everything and everyone and always had a positive attitude even throughout her illness.
Her greatest love and the love of her life was her husband. Mom and Dad never spent a day apart and they taught us the true meaning of love, commitment and respect. She always said her greatest accomplishment were her children and grandchildren whom she loved to spoil. Mom taught us all to be faithful servants of God and to always lend a helping hand to those in need. We will honor her memory by continuing to do so.
Mom was the rock of our family. We are thankful to our Lord for blessing us with her. She will be dearly missed and will always remain in our hearts. Just as she was our angel on earth, she will continue to be our guardian angel in Heaven. Until we meet again Mom. Thank you for being such as wonderful Mom to us all.
Funeral Mass will be today Friday, Jan. 8, 2010 at 2 p.m. at St. Pius X Catholic Church in Weslaco. Interment will follow at Highland Memorial Park.
We would like to thank the staff at Dr. McDougal's office but especially the nurses and staff at BMC Weslaco Dialysis for lovingly taking care of our Mom.
Funeral Services were under the direction of Hawkins Funeral Home in Weslaco.

Our heartfelt thanks to all who attended the funeral services of our beloved mother. We realized how special she was and how many lives she had touched by the amount of people who came out in the cold weather to offer their condelences. We are truly blessed to know we have wonderful friends and family who are waiting in the wings to offer their support and shoulder to cry on. We love and miss our mother very much. We rejoice in knowing she has gone to her new life-eternal life.

Your loving daughter,
Memis

Hi Mom, this is you son-n-law (Courtney). I just want you to know that I was so lucky to be a part of your life and to have married into such a wonderful family. You always gave us such good advice and never pick sides. You did a wonderful job at raising such caring kids, it even trickle down to the grand kids, we will never forget what impact you made on our lives.
Love you

Mami, I miss you so, so much and don't know how I will get through life without you by my side. You were my everything. You were the best mother on this earth in every way and I will never forget all of your advice and words of wisdom. I wake up hoping it's a dream but once I feel the ache in my heart, I know it's real. I will take care of daddy and I will find comfort knowing you are in Heaven rejoicing in His Kingdom just like you always told me. I can picture you dancing with the angels with your white robe and white slippers like you had dreamed of so many times. Miss you and love you Mami!! Te quiero, te amo mucho, mucho mamacita. Tu hija Elva
