Corpus Christi, TX - Juan C. Gonzales, age 71, was born in Abram, Texas on April 30, 1950, and passed away on Friday, December 24, 2021, at his residence surrounded by his family after a courageous battle with cancer.

Juan was influenced early in life by his parents to be a kind and caring man, always helping others in need. He later instilled those same values in his own family as a loving husband and devoted father. He adored his wife, Diana, whom he met in Corpus Christi and married on December 13, 1969. They spent the next 52 years sharing a passion for music and dancing.

He was preceded in death by his father Jesus Gonzalez and his grandchildren Daniel and Cassandra Gonzales.

He is survived by his wife Diana M. Gonzales, his children Monica (Leo) Rodriguez, Michelle Denise Hinojosa, Juan Jesus (Vanessa) Gonzales and his grandchildren Jonathan Gonzales, Christopher Salinas, Kevin Rodriguez, Victoria Rodriguez, Adrienne Gonzales and Alexis Gonzales. He is also survived by his mother Maria Enriqueta Gonzalez of Abram and his siblings Maria Guadalupe (Ernesto) Conde of Havana, Esperanza (Armando) Peña of Mission, Angelica (Jaime) Cardenas of Sharyland and Irma (Oscar) Cardenas of Mission.

A visitation will be held at Maxwell P. Dunne Funeral Service, 5921 Yorktown, Corpus Christi, Texas, on Thursday, December 30, 2021, from 5 - 8 p.m. with a vigil service and Rosary beginning at 6:30 p.m. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at St. Pius X Catholic Church, 5620 Gollihar, Corpus Christi, Texas, on Friday, December 31, 2021, at 11 a.m.
