Juan Angel was my Best Friend. We were friends over 73years starting at Sacred Heart Catholic School, thru High School, working in Houston after High School, serving in US Army during Vietnam War. We entered Pan American College where we obtained our bachelor's degree. We continued our friendship thru the years eventually becoming parents then Compadres. Johnny was a social person, always with a smile, hug, y Bastante Platica. I was blessed to have him as a close friend all these years. Until we meet Again Johnny.

My mother, Elena Saldana Casares and Juan Angel's dad were first cousins. When we all lived at home (from Grand Rapids, MI) we would travel by car and visit family in Edinburg. We would see Juan Angel's mom and sometimes Juan Angel. The family was always so welcoming and nice to us. Our condolences and prayers to all his family. May you RIP Juan Angel. Love, Jim, Norma, and Joe Casares.
