LEONARDA "NAYA" BADILLO EDINBURG - Leonarda "Naya" Badillo, 85, died Tuesday, March 8, 2016, at Doctors Hospital at Renaissance in Edinburg. Born in Edinburg, Mrs. Badillo lived there all of her life and loved spending time with her family and cooking for her grandchildren. She is preceded in death by her husband, Guadalupe Badillo; and her parents, Francisco and Olivia Arce. Mrs. Badillo is survived by five sons, Roberto Badillo, Roel (Jennifer) Badillo, Rolando (Elvira) Badillo, Rene Badillo, all of Edinburg, David (Esmeralda) Badillo of Hidalgo; seven grandchildren, Justin, Kendall, Sarah, Marcos, Shelby, Remse, Jon David; a great-grandchild, Justin S. Badillo; and five siblings, Consuelo Cantu, Francisco Arce, Jr., Fernando Arce, Beatrice Palomo, all of Edinburg, Lupita Gonzalez of Bakersfield, CA. Visitation will be held from 5 to 9 p.m., with a 7 p.m. rosary today, March 10, 2016, at Memorial Funeral Home, 208 E. Canton in Edinburg. Funeral service will take place at 2 p.m. Friday, March 11, 2016, at Holy Family Catholic Church in Edinburg. Interment will follow at Palm Valley Memorial Gardens in Pharr.
