My mom, Reta Sherman, worked with Loretta a number of years at Whitney and she really thought highly of Loretta and Jimmy. Both my parents are gone now but I do remember all the nice things they said about Jimmy & Loretta Crayton. Loretta will be missed. Your family is in my thoughts and prayers.

I met "Ms. Loretta," as I called her, when I was at whitney in 1970 in the fourth grade. Ms. Loretta was a friend of my mom (Lupita Villarreal) and I just fell in love with her because she would always give me extra milk if I wanted it. She was an awesome lady then and I know she was an awesome lady even after I left whitney. We never crossed paths again but I thank God she was in my path when I was at whitney. I would look forward to lunch every day becuase I knew I could have an extra milk if I wanted to (making my friends jealous...ha ha ha). It saddens me to hear of Ms. Lorettas death but at the same time I know she is with our Loving Lord. My condolences to her family.

I remember Mrs. Crayton from school. She was a wonderful person. I was going thru a rough time with an illness when I attended Whitney school many years ago and she was always making me smile and making me feel good. May God bless her family. I know she is looking down on everyone while she sits next to him.
