Luis Magallan Obituary
Luis Angel Magallan, born July 5, 1948, passed away Jan. 24, 2008.
Having trained in the Army and the National Guard, Mr. Magallan had just celebrated 26 years as a police officer with the City of McAllen.
He was preceded in death by his father, Jose Jesus Magallan Sr.; nephew Jose Jesus Magallan III.
Survivors include his wife, Ester T. Magallan from Palmhurst, Texas; mother, Elva G. Magallan from McAllen; son, Markos Magallan of Mission; brothers, Jose J. Magallan Jr. from McAllen, Aureliano (Chris) Magallan of Grand Prairi; sisters, Nora M. (Domingo Sr.) of McAllen, Thelma Magallan of McAllen; nephews, Domingo Jr. (Sabrina), Silvester, Barry, Mike Aleman from McAllen, Aureliano Jr. and Angel J. Magallan of Grand Prairie; nieces, Jennifer, Jacklyn, Jocelyn Magallan, Victoria and Tania Casas; and great-nephew, Dominique Edward Aleman; and great-niece, Lea Rae Aleman.
Visitation will be held Friday, January 25, 2008, from 2 to 9 p.m. with a rosary to be held at 7 p.m. Mass will be held Saturday, January 26, 2008, at 11 a.m. at St. Joseph the Worker in McAllen. Interment will follow at Valley Memorial Garden in McAllen. Military honors will be conducted by VFW Post 8788 from McAllen.
