To all the family of Manuel Luera , I went to school with Blanca Luera , sister to Manuel. A couple yrs ago I worked as RN consultant at the ADC he attended . Manuel asked me if I was from San Juan and immediately i said yes, he said he remembered our family also . Manuel was always so polite , friendly and forever smiling . He constantly talked about his beautiful kids and esp his grandchildren with so much pride . Manuel , you will be missed but now you are the guardian angel for your family . Rest in the arms of Jesus . Your smile will always be remembered . Praying for all the Luera and Wilbur family.

We attended St. John´s Catholic School in San Juan early 60´s.
Very different joyous times, as we were innocent children living in very small peaceful town.
The furthest north was Canales house on N Nebraska as expressway was not built yet.
I think what I remember the most is his sincere smile. Never saw him angry.
He was just so much fun to be around. We had lunch a couple months ago. Still same contagious smile. A very very nice guy.
He spoke proudly of his kids but especially his grand kids. Could not stop talking about them.
He will be missed.
RIP HERIBERTO ( his nickname was Papaya ).
