This is Charlene, Susie's daughter. How I wish I could be with all of you to share stories and swap memories. As I was looking into flowers, my brain went back 30-something years. I had a memory of Jack bringing Granny flowers. I remember he had an officer's uniform on. As he set them in front of her on her little card table, I remember her dry retort, "You know those are gonna die, right?" I laughed to myself. It's funny the things that stick with us. I still think that when someone gives me flowers! I don't always say it, but I think it!
