SAN JUAN - Maura Elizabeth Ruiz de Marroquin, 23, of San Juan, Texas passed away on December 31, 2008, in Harlingen, Texas. She was born on May 18, 1985 in Monterrey, Nuevo Leon, Mexico. She is survived by her son, Osvaldo Marroquin, Jr. of Rio Grande City; her parents, Mario and Maria del Carmen Ruiz of San Juan, Tx.; 3 brothers, Mario Ruiz and Hiram Ruiz, both of McAllen, Tx., David Ruiz of San Juan, Tx.; 3 sisters, Maria del Carmen Rios of Houston, Tx., Laura Ruiz also of Houston, Tx., Veronica Leal of Rio Grande City, Tx.; maternal grandmother, Herminia Garza of Mexico.
A chapel service will be held on Saturday, Jan. 3, 2009, at 1 p.m. at Rivera Funeral Home with interment to follow at Coyote Cemetery in Delmita, Texas. Funeral arrangements are under the direction of Rivera Funeral Home in McAllen.
