Dear Sam & Family,
We always looked forward to your Ohio visits and sharing the stories of your service and dedication to the people of Mexico. It was a blessing to see Nancy's beautiful smile, hear her singing and share her enthusiasm and love for the Lord. May the Lord comfort you and your family.

We did not know, Nancy Davis... but somehow I wish we had met... She sounds like a wonderful woman of God who always put everyone else's needs above her own. May the Good Lord bless each of you as you go through the healing process. May the memories of Nancy help you though this most difficult time.

Dear Sam & Family:
Words cannot express what I feel in my heart. I was closing a series on "Heaven" at the church I pastor in Lexington, NC, this past Sunday morning, and your dear Nancy provided the PERFECT illustration for our congregation as I talked about you, her, and your experience - in light of the title of the series, "It Could Be HEAVEN In 2011!" My heart goes out to you, dear friend. I cannot fathom what you are going through. I can only continue to pray (as I have been) that our loving Father in Heaven will pour into your soul, strength & comfort that you never dreamed possible. It's amazing how He will hold us close in His Divine arms.
Thousands of people are praying for you, your family, and the wonderful work for God you and Nancy have been engaged in for all these years. God is in control! He answers prayer! He's listening, and He's responding on your behalf.
Whenever I think of you & Nancy, the words from Hebrews 11 continually come to my mind -- "...Of whom the world was not worthy..."
I love you and I'm praying that the precious Holy Spirit will give you miraculous grace and comfort. There aren't too many here on this earth, my friend, with whom God could entrust this kind of burden. I thank God for you and I honor you ... for HIS glory ... even as I pray for you.
With love, appreciation & prayer,
Dan (& Marilyn) Downing

Our hearts hurt for you all during this time. Nancy was one of my spiritual heros ever since childhood. As an adult, I appreciated the consistent testimony of God's grace and glory in her life. I treasure her memory and pray God will use this all for His glory.

Earth has no sorrow that Heaven cannot heal. I pray that God's wonderful presence will surround you and your lovely family during this time of loss. She was a precious saint and I look forward to seeing her in Heaven someday. Her life gave many the courage to go on when walking through rough days. She was an inspiration to all that came in contact with her. Bro. Davis - God is holding you in HIS arms - the very arms that held your dear wife as she crossed from here to THERE. She's waiting on the OTHER side for YOU. God bless you.

Bro. Davis and Family,
Our thoughts and prayers are with you at this time. May God raise up a host of missionaries and national pastors to take the place of your dear wife. You have been faithful in your call and God will be faithful to you. We praise God for your lives and the sacrifices you have made for the people of Mexico. You both are heroes of the faith.

To Nancy Davis Family, especially her husband: The Lord's call takes us many places and he always accompanies us in our daily trials, so rest assured knowing your lovely wife entered into our Lord's kingdom to the sound of angels' voices announcing her arrival. Take comfort in knowing that every Christian that admires your work and devotion to the poor, is lifting you up in their prayers. On behalf of so many whom your lives have touched and could not express their condolences personally, please know the gratitude that fills their hearts for all you have done will be a constant reminder of your faith and love for God and them. I'm sorry we haven't had a chance to meet in person. Perhaps our paths will cross someday. Amy & Mike Marroquin, Monte Alto

whether your having a good day or a sad day, always remember these two things... you are stronger then you imagined, and you're never alone... God is with you! you all are in my prayers!"thou hast beset me behind and before, and laid thy hand upon me" psa.139:5 "our lives contain so many valleys, do we ask why? God in His wisdom allows them, and in love works them all together for our good... the darkest of battle makes the roots of my faith sink more firmly into the promises of God...through the whole process, I am refined-conformed to Christ. so its alright with me; deeper valleys equal a closer walk with God" ~words by Nancy Davis~

Was saddened to hear of the tragic death of Nancy, but know she died doing what she loved best: working for Jesus. May you feel God's arms around you during this difficult time.

Dear Sam & family, It is so hard to find words of comfort that will be an encouragement without sounding trite. I was thinking just this morning that now is our time to pray for you, and someday you will be just the one to pray for us in our time of need. It was such a joy getting to know your family when I spent one of my missionary internships down south where you were working at that time. One day I just needed the advice and prayers of an 'older' christian, and Nancy came and spoke and prayed with me- and that advice has come back to me many, many times when I have needed it. When I was considering marriage, it was Nancy I turned to for advice. She was such an intrinsic part of you that the pain must sometimes seem unbearable. God's children are praying for you- sometimes it's all we can do- but then, what better could we do? Love and Sympathy from George, SANDRA (Mosenthin), and Larisa KOLVA in Russia.

Dear Bro. Sam and family,
I pray that God will give you His peace and comfort during this difficult time. Weeping may endure for a night, but joy cometh in the morning. As you pass through the night, may God be your ever guiding light.
I have wonderful memories of your missionary services at Clearfield Church. God’s presence was felt in a special way and I could sense your love and concern for the people of Mexico. As a young person, I was impacted by your ministry and your heart for missions.
We may look at the situation and think it a senseless tragedy, but God may see this as a way to reach the lost and call more laborers to His fields.
God used Sis. Nancy in a wonderful way during her life here on earth and only Heaven will reveal how He is using her death.
My deepest sympathy in your time of sorrow,
