Omar Alanis Obituary
Omar was born on July 15, 1975 in Kingsville, Texas and resided in Premont until 1992. He moved to Mission his senior year and graduated from Mission High School in 1993. A highlight of his senior year was playing football with the Mission Eagles. He attended UT Pan American and received a BA in Finance. Omar was a VP at Lone Star National Bank and First National Bank both in Mission. He was also the owner of La Paloma Realty and Broker. He enjoyed hunting, fishing and all sports.
He is survived and will be greatly missed by his parents, Mary and Luz Alanis, III; his aunts and uncles Zaida (David) Avila and Josie (Raul) Alvarado; cousin Celena Avila; Alvarado cousins; a host of freinds and family of Victoria,Texas.
He is preceded in death by his maternal and paternal grandparents.
The family will receive friends at 3:00 p.m. on Monday, February 13, 2023 at Ric Brown Family Funeral Home Chapel in Mission with a rosary to be recited at 7:00 p.m. All services will conclude Monday evening.

It is with sorrow that we reach out to Mary Grace and Luz to express our condolences upon the death of Omar. We as cousins and next door neighbors saw Omar grow from infancy to adult hood and always admired you as the parents of a wonderful young man. As we reach more of our family and friends with the sad news all comments are made remembering his great qualities and attributes and that ready smile.
