I am sad to hear the passing of my friend and coworker for many years in Burnsville MN. I learned so much from Bob about the trees and where they needed to be planted and what survived better. I also remember one day where he came in the office and was excited about a tree. He convinced me to go with him to this special tree and it was special. I drive by it on occasion and it is a great tree today. I tried to grow some of the trees he suggested but never had the green thumb that Bob had. My neighbors would come over to my house and ask "what are you planting this fall". I miss you friend and always thought I would make it to Texas for a visit but sadly that never worked out.
