Tamez and Norman Theriot, my grandfather, have remained close friends since serving together in Korea. Since then, though living many hours away, Tamez has been like a member of our family. He will be sadly missed. We spent a great day together in Grand Isle earlier this year, which will serve as a wonderful last memory of a great man.

We would like to express our sincere condolences on the recent passing of your father. Although we did not meet your father until the day of his injury it was apparent that he was a great man.
We only found out about his passing while reading his obituary. It was evident our first impressions of your father were right on the mark. We would like to pass along our deepest thank you for your father’s service to this great country and the not to mention all the lives he touched in serving his community. We know he will be missed deeply by his family and those closest to him. May fond memories of his life bring comfort to your hearts and a smile to your face.

Although it was only a few years ago we became neighbors in Leisure World Community, I soon learned to respect and admire Simon. He was always ready with a warm smile and greeting. A truly gentle man, he also could be firm when the occasion demanded. I and my neighbors in Leisure World will sadly miss his presence. My sincere sympathies to his children and their families; also to his wife, Elizabeth, and his stepchildren, as well as his many, many friends. The tragic accident has taken a gentle soul from all of us...but many, many fond memories remain.

We remember your dad as the most loving and caring soul we've ever met. We know that he went unafraid, guided by angels to the place that had been prepared for him, and where loved ones waited. We will miss him, but we will not be sad, for the restraints and demands of the body are gone, and he is
free. Our prayers and blessings to his family
Emma & Cindy: Ricky & I wish we could be there for the service but due to prior commitment we are out of the Valley. May our Lord give you peace and fill you with His presence as you think of your Dad. And may you be sure in knowing that you will see him & your lovely mother again in heaven.
God be with you and your families.

Our thoughts and prayers remain with you.

.........TAPS...........
Day is done, gone the sun,
From the hills, from the lake,
From the sky.
All is well, safely rest,
God is nigh.

Go to sleep, peaceful sleep,
May the soldier or sailor,
God keep.
On the land or the deep,
Safe in sleep.

Love, good night, Must thou go,
When the day, And the night
Need thee so?
All is well. Speedeth all
To their rest.

Fades the light; And afar
Goeth day, And the stars
Shineth bright,
Fare thee well; Day has gone,
Night is on.

Thanks and praise, For our days,
'Neath the sun, Neath the stars,
'Neath the sky,
As we go, This we know,
God is nigh.
