Moeggenberg, Cletus A. Age 92; passed away at Maplewood Assistant Living on July 1, 2016. Funeral Services will be held at St. Vincent DePaul Catholic Church in Shepherd on Saturday, July 9, 2016 at 11 a.m. Visitation will be held at St. Vincent De Paul on Friday, July 8, 2016 from 2 to 5 and 6 to 8 p.m. with a Scripture Service starting at 7 p.m. Cletus August Moeggenberg was born on January 9, 1924 in Shepherd, son of August and Gertrude Moeggenberg. He married Elsie Kasel on June 24, 1944. He was a farmer in Shepherd. He was co-owner of Valley View Golf Course with his brother, John. Cletus retired and moved to Arizona in 1973 and returned to Michigan in 2014. He enjoyed playing cards and loved visiting with family and friends. He loved his faith and family. Cletus is survived by his children, Kathy (Eric) Chick, Alice (Ken) Russel, Bob (Dianne) Moeggenberg, Sue (Dennis) Anderson, Jean (Doug) Schultz, Joyce (Eldon) Wollum, Barb (James Puttman) Hall, Mike (Angie Overmeyer) Moeggenberg, Pat Crenshaw; 19 grandchildren; 15 great grandchildren; and siblings, Rose, John, Father Ray, George, Jim and Dave. Cletus was preceded in death by his wife, Elsie; a daughter, Judy; a son, Richard; sisters, Paulina, Mary, Marcella, Florence; brothers, Vincent and Paul; and a great grandson, Aidyn. Funeral Arrangements have been entrusted to Berry Funeral Home of Shepherd.
