Harry Kasnow

1927 - 2022

Harry Kasnow, 95, of Winchester, California (formerly of Alma, Michigan and Seminole, Florida), passed away peacefully at his home on December 21. Harry was born in Chicago, IL on June 8, 1927. He is the son of the late Bernard and Eva Kasnow. Harry was an Army veteran who served during the Korean War and the Vietnam War. After retiring from the Army Harry moved his family to Alma where he owned and operated several businesses including the Tastee Freeze, Robo Car Wash, Admiral Gas Station and the Gratiot Lanes bowling alley. Harry also served as a Boy Scouts leader and member of the Parent Teachers Association. Close friends and relatives knew that Harry was an avid horse racing fan. Harry was preceded in death by his wife Betty, son Edward (Butch) Kasnow, grandson Jeffrey Parkes, sisters Shelley Manheim and Natalie Bohnson, and brother Marvin Kasnow. Harry left behind a daughter, Eva "Cookie" (Bruce) Parkes, sons Ron (Patricia) Kasnow, Rick (Melissa) Kasnow and Randy (Silvia) Kasnow, 11 grandchildren, 11 great grandchildren and 7 great-great grandchildren.
