Howard Homister Obituary

March 30, 1940 - June 22, 2013

Howard L. Homister, age 73, of Mt. Pleasant, passed away at his home Saturday, June 22, 2013.
There will be a Graveside Service Friday, June 28, 2013 at 10 a.m. at Chapel Gardens Cemetery in Elwell with Jack Bellinger officiating.
Howard was born March 30, 1940 in St. Louis to Murl and Helen (Keck) Homister. He married Barbara Seeley July 16, 1966, she preceded him in death in 2010. He served in the U.S. Navy in the late 1950's. Howard worked for Farro's for 17 years and then for Alma Products for 20 years, retiring in 2004.
Survived by four children, Karen Doty, Twylla Homister, Shelly (Ken Jr.) Bassett, all of Mt. Pleasant, and Murl Homister of FL; one brother, Glenn (Nanacy) Homister of White Cloud; two sisters, Joyce Smith of Lansing, Lucille Garza of St. Louis; numerous grandchildren and great grandchildren.
Preceded in death by a infant, son; and a daughter, Debarha Eager; and brother; and sister; and his parents.
The Berry Funeral Home has been entrusted with the arrangements.

The best turtle hunter I have ever seen,I know , I had to carry them for him.The best Left handed hitter at Penny Park,I know, I had to retrieve them from the river.
