Jacqueline "Jackie" June Sublett, age 88, of Mt. Pleasant passed away on Wednesday, January 9, 2013 at Woodland Hospice.
Funeral Services for Jackie will be held at Clark Family Funeral Chapel on Saturday, January 12, 2013 at 4 p.m. with Rev. Ronald Thompson officiating. Interment will follow in the Calvary Cemetery. The family will receive friends on Friday, January 11, 2013 from 7 to 9 p.m. and Saturday, January 12, 2013 from 3 p.m. until the time of service. Memorial contributions may be made to Woodland Hospice. Envelopes will be available at the funeral chapel.
Jackie was born on June 14, 1924 in Mount Pleasant, the daughter of John W. and Doris Imogene (Bryant) Brien. She married Clarence E. Sublett on October 24, 1946, who preceded her in death in 1962. Jackie graduated from Mount Pleasant High School and attended Central Michigan University for two years. Jackie was a very devoted mother, grandmother, and great grandmother. Besides her family, Jackie enjoyed literature and singing Tony Bennett songs with her singing partner, Sherrie Wilcox. She enjoyed playing bridge, golf, and always offered advice and common sense.
Jackie is survived by her children, Bill Sublett (Kelly) of Shepherd, Patricia (Keith) Feight of Mount Pleasant, and Cyndi (Tom) Werner of Louisville, KY; 9 grandchildren; 11 great grandchildren; sister, Janet Wilson of Mount Pleasant; and many nieces and nephews.
Jackie was preceded in death by her husband, Clarence in 1962; her son, Robert E. Sublett in 2011; and sisters, Jean Taylor, Dorothy Brien, and Wilma MacLean.
