Joel Lance Haase

1958 - 2015

Haase, Joel Lance; age 56; of Alma, formerly of Lake Havasu City, Arizona; passed away Sunday, June 14, 2015 at his home. He was born August 12, 1958 in Alma the son of Max A. and Glennie L. (Brown) Haase and graduated from Alma High School in 1976. Joel enjoyed doing mechanic work after high school and was always proud of his ‘69 Camaro. Over the years he worked as a mechanic, welder, maintenance man and most recently worked as a carpenter. He enjoyed NASCAR and his faithful Canine Companions, Joey and Stevie. Joel is survived by his parents, Max and Glennie Haase of Alma; a brother, Tyler (Aleta) Haase of Alma; a sister, Ellen Haase of Haslett; nieces and nephews, Mary (Matt) Redman and their children Corbin, Abigail and Addison, Matt Haase and Heather Evitts; also his special friend, Donna Hensley. A Memorial Gathering with a light lunch will be held on Saturday, June 27, 2015 from 1 to 3 p.m. at the Alma VFW. In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to Heartland Hospice.
