Lyn Foster

1959 - 2023

It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Lyn Janeen Foster, age 63. Lyn passed away peacefully on April 28, 2023, in Palmer, Alaska with her beloved dog Hope by her side.

Lyn grew up in Mt. Pleasant and graduated from MPHS in 1977. During her high school years many will recall seeing her smiling face at Post Pharmacy Gift Gallery. She attended CMU and was a member of Zeta Tau Alpha. Lyn worked for many years as an assistant to the Athletic Director at MPHS. She loved to cook, play cards, watch sports, hang out with her dogs and spend time with family and friends. She had a very special way of connecting with everyone she met. She always had an ear, shoulder, or even a cookie waiting, just in case someone needed it. She had an amazing memory and recall of names and events. She loved a good laugh, listening to rock 'n roll and reminiscing. More than anything, Lyn loved her family. Her children and grandchildren meant the world to her.

Lyn was proceeded in death by her parents, Hilt and Janeen Foster. She is survived by her two children, Lindsey Jackson and Justin Jackson; her grandchildren Alyssa, Ashlynn, Maya and Senna; and her siblings Kim, Kevin and John Foster.

She will be forever missed by her family and the countless people who loved her. A Celebration of Life will be held on Friday, June 23, from 3:00-7:00 PM at the Mt. Pleasant VFW. Please join us to share your favorite stories and memories of her life. Thank you to everyone who has reached out to our family during this difficult time. Memorial contributions can be made to the wishes of the family. Envelopes will be available at the celebration of life.
