Norman B. "Norm" Pelch

1937 - 2018

Pelch, Norman "Norm" B. Norman "Norm" B. Pelch, age 80 of Farwell, passed away at home surrounded by his family on Thursday, August 23, 2018. Norm was born the son of Orval and Neva (Line) Pelch on December 21, 1937 in Evart. He was united in marriage to Carole Finch on June 6, 1959 in Reed City. Norm had worked at Holley Carburetor in Clare until the plant closed; he then went to work for the Farwell Area Schools as a Bus Mechanic for 25 years. Norm is survived by his wife Carole; children Larry (Anna) Pelch and Terri (Chris) Bailey; grandchildren Bryce and Kelsey Jones, Logan Pelch and Kyle and Lauryn Bailey and sisters Norma (Theron) Bergey, Nancy (Hector) Couture, Noreen (Dan) Gerhart, Vicki (Gene) Vincent and Orlene Lodholtz. He was predeceased by his father Orval and Ethel Pelch; his mother Neva and Dewey Gerhart; an infant brother Richard Pelch and in-laws Lawrence and Rose Finch. Visitation and services will be held at the Farwell Chapel of Stephenson-Wyman Funeral Home. Visitation will take place on Sunday, August 26, 2018 from 4 to 8 P.M. Services will be on Monday, August 27, 2018 at 11 A.M. with Pastor Jim Young officiating. Burial will take place in the Surrey Twp. Cemetery with a luncheon to follow at the Farwell Senior Center.
