ROBERT HAROLD (BOB) FORQUER, age 80, of Shepherd, passed away Friday, October 1, 2021, at McLaren Central Michigan Hospital in Mt. Pleasant. Funeral Services for Bob will be held at Clark Family Funeral Chapel on Wednesday, October 6, 2021, at 11 a.m. with Deacon Larry Fussman officiating. Interment will follow at Union Cemetery. A luncheon will be held at Winn Community Center following burial. The family will receive friends on Tuesday, October 5, from 6 p.m. to 9 p.m. and on Wednesday one hour prior to the funeral service. The family requests all visitors please wear a mask. Memorial donations may be made to the family. Envelopes will be available at the funeral chapel. Bob was born August 5, 1941, in Isabella County, the son of Harold and Retha (Riggle) Forquer. He graduated from Shepherd High School with the Class of 1960. Bob worked as an electrician for CMU for 30 years, retiring in 2001. He married Laraine Buchel on June 6, 1977, and they enjoyed many years together camping, traveling, and horseback riding. Bob was a member of Michigan Trail Riders Association and trail rode through Michigan. He loved spending time with his family, taking care of his lawn, and taught leather crafting for 4-H. Bob is survived by his wife Laraine; children Bret (Julie) Forquer of Mt. Pleasant, Amy (Craig) Lynch of Arizona, Terri (Mark) Freeze of Mt. Pleasant, LeAnne (Larry) Epling of Pikeville, KY; 9 grandchildren; 5 great-grandchildren; brother Donald (Brenda) Forquer of Shepherd; sisters Deborah LaPaugh (Bill Powell) of Charlotte, DeAnne (Mark) Recker of Cornell, WI; sisters-in-law Darlene Buchel, Anna Buchel, Karen (Mike) Straus, Donna Buchel; several nieces, nephews, and other extended family members.
