Boyer, Thad Michael Boyer, Thad Michael age 46 of Blanchard, MI, passed away unexpectedly Sunday, August 5, 2018. A memorial service will be held in his honor on August 25, 2018, at the Blanchard American Legion Hall in Blanchard from 1 to 4 p.m. Thad was born November 4, 1971, the son of Michael and Jane (Galer) Boyer. He was currently working for DeWitt Lumber, where he had been employed for 22 years. An avid outdoorsman, Thad enjoyed hunting, looking for mushrooms, watching NASCAR on T.V., working in his garage, and spending time with his family. He will be deeply missed by his parents, Mick and Jane; his two children, Buster (Nicholas) and Sis (Morgan); brother, Curtis; paternal grandmother, Virgelene Boyer; Maternal grandmother, Beverly Galer; his partner, Jen Rehkopf; several aunts, uncles, and cousins, and his cat, DA "Dumb A**" (which he loved and hated all at the same time). Thad is also survived by the mother of his children, Paula Balhorn. Thad was preceded in death by his paternal grandfather, Curtis Boyer, and his maternal grandfather, Roger Galer. A fund is being set up at Isabella Bank for those desiring to make contributions in memory of Thad. Information on how contributions can be made will be available at the memorial service.
