Wayne Donald Callison was born on November 8, 1931 at home in Wise Township to the late Irvin and Althea Callison. He graduated from Coleman High School in 1950. Upon graduation from high school, he began full time farming with his dad on the family property. He received an outstanding young farmer award. Wayne was wed to Dorothy Anthony but the marriage ended in divorce. To this marriage were born four children, Linda, Carolyn, Dennis and Steve. On April 16, 1970, Wayne married Jolene Tomlin at the First Church of the Nazarene in Mt. Pleasant. This marriage brought him three more children, Tim, Ken and Ben. Wayne was a farmer and continued to work the combine and tractors until his late 80's. Wayne was the Township Clerk, then a member of the Board of Review for Wise Township for many years. Wayne is survived by his loving wife of 51 years, Jolene, his daughters, Linda Callison, Carolyn (Michael) Daniels, sons, Dennis (Cathy) Callison, Steven (Becky) Callison, Timothy (Donna) Callison, Kenneth (Jaque') Callison and Benjamin Callison, grandchildren, Jessica (Matt) Monczka, Erin Dupuis, Christine Daniels, Jon Daniels, Toni (Cordon) Johnson, Joshua (Melissa) Callison, Ashley Callison Amy Sims, Eric Callison, John Callison, Garrett Callison, Elizabeth (Isiah) Linscott, Josh Callison, Matthew Callison, Noah Callison, and Grace Callison, sister Grace Coulson, brother Floyd Callison, twenty great-grandchildren, six great-great-grandchildren, many nieces and nephews. Wayne was preceded in death by his brother Earl, sisters Ruth, Pauline and Berniece and grandson Jamie. Wayne was a very hard working man who truly loved all of his family. A thank you to the hospital staff at Alma. They were so considerate. Cremation has taken place. The family will receive friends at the O'Laughlin Funeral Home, Inc. on Monday June 14, from 6-8 pm. Please follow COVID-19 Protocol.
