Alfred "Howie" Johnson

Alfred "Howie" Johnson, age 44, entered into eternal rest on Tuesday, January 9, 2018, at Ochsner Medical Center Main Campus. He was a native and resident of New Orleans, La. Alfred attended L. B. Landry High and was employed as a cook at Blue Crab Restaurant. He will be remembered as a great father, devoted friend, hard worker, avid sports fan. Loving father of Roosevelt, Howienisha, and Michelle Tyler, Amber and My'Asia Estem. Stepfather of Raven Harris and Londyn Monroe. Devoted son of Stella Johnson and the late Willie Joseph Gloster. Grandson of the late Stella Williams and Alfred E. Williams Sr. Brother of Craig (Ronnisha) Johnson, Shiwee Johnson, and the late William III. Companion of Yasha Monroe. Uncle of Iviyon, Craig Jr., Jeru, Marvin and Timothy Johnson Jr. Nephew of the late Ora Lee Dantler, Jimmie Williams and Therman Williams. Godfather of Mikequel Simeon and Taylor Love. Former husband of Michelle Tyler; also survived by a host of other relatives and friends. Relatives and friends of the family and employees of Blue Crab Restaurant are invited to attend the Celebration of Life Service at DAVIS MORTUARY SERVICE, 230 MONROE ST. GRETNA, LA on Friday, January 19, 2018, at 10:00a.m. Pastor Shateek Nobles, officiating. Visitation will begin at 8:30a.m. until service time at the parlor.
