You are one of the nicest guys I know. We were lucky to have you around while we did. When I think about how I could be a kinder, better friend to others, I still think of you.
Ian and I would get lunch at the UNO cafeteria when we were freshman. I always looked forward to seeing him and getting a 1lb 1$ chicken salad sandwich or a 1$ mega-overloaded baked potato.

I only knew Ian for a relatively short time here at the Corps of Engineers but the time was enjoyable. In my 42 years with the Engineering Division at the New Orleans District I've worked with a lot good conscientious, Engineers who cared about this area, Ian was one of them. He will be missed by the Corps family. May he rest in peace with God.

This is such a loss to parents, siblings, and a young wife, my thoughts and prayers are with you all. Ian was such a special young man, and will be missed by so many people. I saw him last year on the rooftop of EJ at a function, we spoke at length about how happy he was married, about his cancer, and about his family. I am glad we got that opportunity to reconnect, and catch up with his life. I know about the loss of a brother, and after that grief, hopefully you will see Ian in your life on a daily basis, in some strange way. I do almost daily with my brother, and it makes me smile... that is my wish for all of you...sincerely The Parr family..
