John Bing Obituary
YORKTOWN, VA: John Richard Bing, 74, passed away on Thursday, May 18, 2017. John was born in of Corpus Christi, TX and raised in Fremont, OH and a Yorktown resident since 2007. He graduated from St. Joseph High School in 1961 and served in the US Navy from 1963 thru 1971. He worked as a Computer Engineer with EDS and NCIS and was a member of the Knights of Columbus Council 6901 an avid reader and photographer.
He was preceded in death by his parents Mary Elizabeth Gibson Bing and Robert Edwin Bing and survived by his wife of 53 years Joan L. Bing, his children, Shawn Bing (Loretta) and Dawn Killian (Carl); three sisters, Christine Howell and Carolyn Nieset (Clarence) and Roberta Moore (Kelly) and a brother Charles E. Bing; 6 grandchildren, Lauren, Blake, Aaron, Collyn, Kathleen and Megan, two step-grandchildren James and Steven and great-grandson, Liam.
A Memorial Mass will be held on Saturday, May 27 at 10:00 AM on in St. Joan of Arc Catholic Church. The family will receive friends following the service in the John Paul II Center. Memorials may be made to ST. Joan of Arc Catholic Church, 315 Harris Grove Lane, Yorktown, VA 23692. Arrangements by Amory Funeral Home, Grafton, VA.

I remember playing at the Bing house as a child, John was the big brother. He was also a friend of my big brother Jim.

I know how much John loved going to my cabin in Tennessee. We all had such a good time. Also the year we went to Mackinac Island for our anniversaries. He was such a nice kind person. He will be missed. My love and prayers to your family. Mary Joyce
