Shelia Jensen Obituary

BOWLING GREEN: Shelia G. Jensen, age 57, of Bowling Green, OH, passed away on Thursday, November 25, 2010 at St. Charles Mercy Hospital, Oregon, OH.

On October 19, 1953 she was born in Oregon, OH to Leslie and Irene (Underwood) Benefield. She married Earl L. Jensen on April 28, 1979 in Elmore, OH and he survives. Shelia was a security scheduler for the Toledo Museum of Art. She was a member of the Ohio Decoy Collectors and Carvers Association and in her spare time was a talented artist, painted decoys, enjoyed cooking, sewing and gardening.

Shelia is survived by her husband, Earl; step sons, Anthony (Julie) Jensen of Mount Washington, KY, Christopher (Shannon) Jensen of Bowling Green, OH; step daughter, Amy (Al) Walkowiak of Clarksville, TN; six step grandchildren; sisters, Monette (Jim) Croll of Elmore, OH, Elaine (George) Gerkensmeyer of Elmore, OH, Patsy Helmeci of Birmingham, AL, Criss Benefield of Birmingham, AL, Rebecca (Joe) Hoffman of Elmore, OH; brothers, Ken (Sharon) Benefield of Genoa, OH, Larry Benefield of Gibsonburg, OH, Ronald (Leigh) Benefield of Oak Harbor, OH; and many nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents; and brother, Michael Benefield.

Family and friends will be received on Monday, November 29, 2010 from 2-4 & 6-8 p.m. at the Marsh Funeral Home, 110 W. Main St. Luckey, OH where funeral services will be conducted at 11 a.m. on Tuesday, November 30, 2010. Officiating will be Rev. Melissa Steinecker. Interment will be in Clay Twp. Cemetery, Genoa, OH. Considerations for memorial contributions are: American Diabetes Association or Toledo Museum of Art. I was sad when Shelia left TMA. Sadder now that we won't be able to meet for lunch. Saddest for her family & friends Shelia's left behind. I definitely miss her encouraging smile & kind words.
