Bernetta Wright Obituary

Bernetta G. Bertram Wright, 66, died peacefully at home surrounded by her family on Monday, Oct. 10, 2022, in Elizabethtown, after a courageous battle with COPD and COVID.

Bernetta was born June 19, 1956, in Fort Knox. She graduated from North Hardin High School and Western Kentucky University with a B.S. in nursing. Through the years, she worked caring for others. She loved her family dearly, especially her grandchildren who called her Grandma Sweetie. Family gatherings were her favorite.

She was preceded in death by her grandparents, Walter and Clara Taylor and Omer and Lenna Bertram.

Survivors include her parents, Mitchell and Patricia Bertram; her children, Patricia (Dave) Evans and Jason (Samantha) Wright; her grandchildren, Tasha, Shawn, Camille, Jameson and Waylon; her great-granddaughter, Alexis; two sisters, Jacqueline Lucas and Jennita Burchfield; two nieces, Katie and Laura Burchfield; and a nephew, Douglas Lucas.

There will be a private family graveside service in Elizabethtown Memorial Gardens.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in her name to Hosparus or the Hardin County Animal Shelter.
