Catherine Langford Yarbrough

Catherine Langford Fanelli Yarbrough, 81, of Hodgenville, passed away Sunday, Sept. 21, 2025, at Baptist Health Hardin.

Catherine was a loving wife and mother. She was a stay-at-home mother and fostered children for more than 40 years.

She was a member of St. James Catholic Church and Our Lady of Mercy in Hodgenville.

Catherine loved singing and was a member of several groups, including St. James Catholic Church Choir and their Eucharistic ministries, Elizabethtown Choral Society and the ECTC Choir.

She enjoyed rescuing animals, especially horses and dogs. Catherine helped feed the hungry for many years.

Catherine was preceded in death by her parents, Frank Fanelli and Patty Langford, and one daughter, Kimberly Bargeron.

Survivors include her husband of 56 years, Michael Yarbrough; two sons, Eric Yarbrough and Charles Yarbrough; three daughters, Traci Ann Bargeron, Cathy (Will) Brower and Gianna (Adriaan) Van Den Berg; and many brothers and sisters, grandchildren, great-grandchildren, family and friends.

The funeral Mass is at 11 a.m. Monday, Sept. 29, at St. James Catholic Church in Elizabethtown. Burial follows in Resthaven Memorial Park in Louisville.

Visitation begins at 9 a.m. Monday and continues until the time of service at the church.
