Clinton Josh Meshew

1939 - 2021

Clinton Josh Meshew, 82, of Elizabethtown, passed away Tuesday, June 15, 2021, at Baptist Health Hardin in Elizabethtown.

Mr. Meshew was a retired sergeant first class in the U.S. Army. He was a veteran of the Vietnam War and earned two Bronze Stars among other commendations. He was a member of Free & Accepted Masons, American Legion and VFW. 

He was preceded in death by his mother, Helen Morris; his father, Clinton Joshua Meshew; and two sisters, Helen Viola Meshew and Josie Glowacki.

Survivors include his wife, Mildred of Elizabethtown; five children, Nicholas Meshew (USMC)  and his wife, Debbie, Jackie Michelle Dann, Sheila Fleming and her husband, Robert, Kenneth Meshew (USAF), and Patricia Sayers and her husband, Randall; six grandchildren, Connie, Andrew, Jeremy, Patricia, Brooke and Britanny (USCG); and a host of great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews, extended family and friends.

The funeral is at 1 p.m. Wednesday, June 23, at Nelson-Edelen-Bennett Funeral Home in Radcliff, with Chaplain Bob Craig officiating. Burial with military honors follows in Kentucky Veterans Cemetery-Central in Radcliff.

Visitation is from 4 to 8 p.m. Tuesday and continues at 11 a.m. Wednesday at the funeral home.

A masonic service is at 7 p.m. Tuesday.
