1944 - 2025

Elizabeth Ann Ray Taylor, lovingly known as Ann, Mom, Mamaw and "Mamaw with the Cows," passed away peacefully Monday, Nov. 10, 2025, surrounded by family.

Born on Nov. 17, 1944, she lived a life rooted in love, strength, faith in Jesus Christ and unwavering devotion to her family and friends.

Ann was preceded in death by her beloved parents, Vera and Charlie Ray; and two brothers, Larry and Sonny.

She shared a devoted marriage with her husband, Joseph Edward " Ed" Taylor, established a thriving family farm and raised three children, Rodney (Tammy), Rick (Melanie) and Melissa (Bruce).

Ann's pride in her children was matched only by the joy she found in her five grandchildren, Courtney (Josh), Taylor (Chelsea), Zach (Cam), Lexi (Barry) and Kelly (Andrew); and six great-grandchildren, Jace, Luke, Mia, Brady, Whitley and Bristol. Each one held a very special place in her heart.

Ann also cherished her relationships with her two nephews, David (Kay) and Todd (Tammy), who remained close throughout the years.

Her legacy is one of resilience, generosity, and deep familial bonds. Though she has departed this world, the example she provided and the love she gave will continue to guide those who knew her.

May her memory bring comfort to all who loved her.

A Mass of Christian burial is at 11 a.m. Thursday, Nov. 13, 2025, at St. John the Baptist Catholic Church, 657 St. John Church Road in Rineyville with the Rev. Ben Brown officiating. Burial follows in St. John the Baptist Catholic Church Cemetery.

Visitation is from 9 to 11 a.m. Thursday at the church.

In lieu of flowers donations may take the form of contributions to St. John the Baptist Catholic Church cemetery fund.
