Eugene Nowlin Sr. Obituary
He was a member of First Baptist Church, where he served on the deacon board. He served as the assistant superintendent of Sunday school and was a member of the usher board, male choir and the B.T.U. He was a U.S. Air Force veteran and a member of DAV, American Legion Post No. 113 and King David Masonic Lodge.
Survivors include five sons, Charles L. Nowlin (Marietta), Larry D. Nowlin, Eugene Nowlin Jr. ( Mary), Michael A. Nowlin and Tracey A. Nowlin, all of Lou-isville; two daughters, Veretta Hyder of Elizabethtown and Audrey E. Nowlin of Louisville; 18 grandchildren; 25 great-grandchildren; a brother, Earl Nowlin of Columbus, Ohio; and a sister, Bernice Perkins of Youngstown, Ohio.
The funeral is at 2 p.m. Saturday, Sept. 28, at First Baptist Church in Elizabethtown with the Rev. Dr. B.T. Bishop officiating.
Burial follows in Elizabethtown City Cemetery.
Visitation begins at 5 p.m. Friday at Percell & Sons Funeral Home in Elizabethtown.

I sincerely am sorry I was not able to make it to see you one last time. My heart can't express how deeply saddened, I am right now! As you sleep Granddad... we will see you again, you will be missed greatly, you had an impact on whomever you encountered. I Love You, all you dedication and labor to the Lord, Jesus will reward you an eternal reward with him in paradise on his glorious return! Rest easy Granddad! I Love You!

I will miss hearing Deacon Nowlin, sing the song "I want to be in the Number when all the Saints get home"; it is one of my favorite songs. To the family: May God comfort you.
