Guy Philip Mouser

1958 - 2024

Guy Philip Mouser, 65, owner and operator of Guys Building Supply of New Haven, passed away peacefully, Monday, March 11, 2024, at his residence with his wife and family by his side.

Guy was a loving husband, son, brother and friend. He was a great business man, a very charitable person, great story-teller, coach of various sports and loved country music. Guy was a member of St. Catherine Catholic Church.

Guy was born July 14, 1958, in Bardstown, to the late Joseph Edward Mouser and his mother, Martha Frances Bowling Mouser.

In addition to his father, Joe Eddie "Q Ball," he was preceded in death by a niece, Kayla Brown; a nephew, Gerald Mouser; and a brother-in-law, John Wayne Brown.

Guy is survived by his wife, of 29 years, Connie Ann Mouser of New Haven; his mother, Frances B. Mouser of New Haven; a daughter, Deirtre "Dee" Hernandez of Louisville; a granddaughter, Ciara Nicloe Hunt; a great-grandson, Castiel "Cass;" 11 brothers, Tommy (Martha), Don (Leita), Chad (Ann), Marvin, Mike (Karen), Wally, Garland, Errol (Johnye), Bernie (Kim) and Robert (Melanie) Mouser; five sisters, Lois Ann (Tommy) Cecil, Nini (Joe) Moore, Jeaneane (J.H.) Thompson, Celie (John A.) Sims and Fran Brown; several brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law, nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.

A Mass of Christian burial is at 11 a.m. Saturday, March 16, at St. Catherine Catholic Church with Father Matthew Hardesty officiating. Burial follows in St. Catherine Church Cemetery in New Haven.

Visitation for Guy Philip Mouser is from 3 to 8 p.m. Friday with a prayer service at 5 p.m. and continues from 9 to 10:30 a.m. Saturday at William R. Rust Funeral Home New Haven Chapel.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to St. Ann's Catholic School in Howardstown.
