James Lark Obituary

James Ray Lark, 63, of Rineyville, passed away Sunday, Jan. 30, 2022, at Baptist Health Hardin.

He retired in 2015 as a certified respiratory therapist at Hardin Memorial Hospital and was a member of St. Brigid Catholic Church. He was also a member of the Corvette Club and received a black belt in Tai Kwon Do and Jujitsu.

He was preceded in death by his wife, Norva Ellen Cox Lark; and his parents, Ronald Lark and Betty Lorene Spangler.

He is survived by two sons, Christopher Sean (Rebecca) FitzPatrick of Rineyville and Andrew David (Angel) FitzPatrick of Maitland, Florida; five sisters, Patti (Tony) Horton, Paula (Kenny) Davidson, Donna (Jerry) Nealy, Ellen (Ben) Hubbard and Cheryl Thomas; one brother, Gary Shaw; four grandchildren, Ian FitzPatrick, Thomas FitzPatrick, Jonathon FitzPatrick, and Isaiah Howell; his cousin and best friend, Robert Lark; and several special nieces and nephews.

The funeral is at 11 a.m. Saturday, Feb. 5, at St. Brigid Catholic Church in Vine Grove. A private burial will be at Kentucky Veterans Cemetery-Central in Radcliff.

Visitation is from 4 to 8 p.m. Friday at Brown Funeral Home in Elizabethtown and continues at 10 a.m. Saturday at the church.

The family requests that masks be worn by all who attend visitation.

Sorry to hear about jim passing. I knew jim while working at HMH. He always had a smile and was highly respected at HMH. I will keep his family in my prayers during this difficult time..
