James Ramsey Obituary
He was born in Sonora to Sam and Lettie Ramsey. He loved working and helping other people. James was a farmer and retired after 32 years at Gates Rubber Co. in Elizabethtown. He was a deacon and assistant pastor at the Lighthouse Ministry of Hodgenville. James loved the lord and his family.
He was preceded in death by his Wife, Mary Hartsel (Staggs) Ramseyl his parents; four sisters and seven brothers.
Survivors include his daughter, Tamara (Mike) Sallee of Hodgenville; his son, Dan (Casey) Ramsey of Hodgenville; three grandchildren, Gabriel (Ambra) Harris of Hendersonville, Tennessee, Amanda (Joey) Wooldridge of New Haven and Ali Grace Ramsey of Hodgenville; a sister, Madeline Grieb of Louisville; and four great-grandchildren, Isaiah, Sophie, Molli Jo and John Daniel.
The funeral is at noon Thursday, Nov. 20, at Manakee Funeral Home in Sonora with the Rev. Richard Ramsey officiating. Burial follows in Staggs-Quinn Cemetery in Bonnieville.
Visitation is from 3 to 8 p.m. Wednesday and continues from 9 a.m. to noon Thursday at the funeral home.
