Margaret B. "Granny" Wilson of Elizabethtown, a devout Catholic, passed away Tuesday, Sept. 7, 2021, at her residence.
She was preceded in death by her husband, George R. Wilson in 1974.
Granny retired from the Radcliff Police Department in 2006, where she worked as a one of the first official crossing guards in 1974. She then served as a dispatcher and records clerk the remainder of her career.
Survivors include two sets of twins, Gayle Garrett, Gaye Gallagher, Gregory Wilson and Gerald Wilson; and a brother, Billy Brown. She was a dedicated grandmother of nine and great-grandmother of eight. Everyone who knew and loved her called her "Granny" and she cared for everyone around her and always would give what she had to help them better themselves. Ms. Granny Wilson will be missed every second of every day but she will not be forgotten.
A Mass of Christian burial is at 11 a.m. Friday, Sept. 10, at St. Christopher Catholic Church in Radcliff with the Rev. Jeff Hopper officiating.
Nelson-Edelen-Bennett Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
