Margie Kabalen

Margie Miller Kabalen, 93, of Radcliff, passed away in her home at 1 a.m. Saturday, June 24, 2017.
From birth at New Stithton, she nourished people around her, never turning anyone away.

Margie Kabalen was a gentle soul. She always had an open door to anyone with needs and was a stay at home wife and mother who loved to cook. She always had a smile on her face. She will greatly be missed by the many people she came in contact with over the many years. Rest in peace mom, grandma and aunt.

She was preceded in death by her late husband of 51 years, Albert Kabalen; her parents, Ausbin Yates and Burta Ann Yates; four brothers, Billy Joe Yates, Elmenlee Yates, Haynes Yates, and James Yates who was killed in action; and two sisters, Edna Borgart and Hallie Kabalen.

She is survived by a son, James A. Kablen, Sr. and wife, Christa Kabalen, of Radcliff; two grandsons, James A Kabalen Jr. and wife, Jennie Kabalen, and Brian Kabalen and his wife, Angie Kabalen; a great-grandson, Nicholas James Kabalen; a sister, Jenenett Wescott; three stepgranddaughters, Ellen Cindy and Ginger; a stepgrandson, Mark; and numerous nieces and nephews.
The funeral is at 11 a.m. Wednesday, June 28, at Nelson-Edelen-Bennett Funeral Home in Radcliff with the Rev. Ken Jessie officiating. Burial follows in North Hardin Memorial Gardens in Radcliff.

Visitation is from 5 to 8 p.m. Tuesday and continues after 10 a.m. Wednesday at the funeral home.
