Marta Higgason Obituary
Marta E. Higgason, 72, of Buffalo, passed away Thursday, April 24, 2025, at her home, after suffering from Alzheimer's for the last four years.
She was born Aug. 23,1952, to the late Martin and Shirley Hazelett of Elizabethtown.
She was preceded in death by her two brothers, Michael and Jim Hazelett.
Marta is survived by her husband of 38 years, Steve Higgason; a sister, Anne Cecil of Vine Grove; along with numerous nieces and nephews.
The funeral is at 11 a.m. Thursday, May 1, at Brown Funeral Home in Elizabethtown.
Visitation is from 3 to 6 p.m. Wednesday at the funeral home.

Just wanted to say I am so sorry. I didn't see much of Marta after High School but a few years ago we were on the committee for our high school reunion. It was so great to see her then and talk about old times. I also played golf many times with her brother Mike after I retired. I'm sure she will be greatly missed. Prayers for the family.

Steve, I am so sorry for your loss. I just found out about Marta´s passing and didn´t even know she was sick. You know how I felt about her. I remember when she went on vacation to Cincinnati with our family the summer after Bobby passed! Our family had a special place in our hearts for her. I wish you nothing but peace and will be praying for her soul and for you and your family. Godspeed! RIP dear Marta
