Patricia McCray Obituary

Patricia Ann Blanchard "Pat" McCray, 73, of Glendale, passed from her Earthly body to her Heavenly home Thursday, Jan. 23, 2025, at University of Louisville Hospital with her family by her side.

Pat was known for many things, first and foremost was her love of God and for her church. She was a member of First Baptist Church of Lebanon Junction, where she found joy in serving the Lord wherever there was a need. Pat also had an undeniable love for her family. If you knew her, you knew how much she dearly loved those closest to her and how she treasured time with loved ones. If there was one piece of advice she would give anyone it was to make time for family.

Pat also was well known as the Avon Lady. She worked with Avon for more than 25 years, meeting people all over the county, state and country and loved every minute of it.

She will be deeply missed by all those who were blessed to know her and love her.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Al R. "Randall" and Anna R. Evans Blanchard; and a brother-in-law, Ron Wilson.

Survivors include her devoted husband of 53 years, Ron McCray; a son, Jason (Angela) McCray; two grandchildren, Carter and Anneliese McCray; five stepgrandchildren, Andrew Weeks, Tyler Johnston, Devin Johnston, Byron Fyffe and Kaylee Johnston; and three stepgreat-grandchildren, Liam Johnston, Karver Robbins and Olivia Johnston. She also is survived by her three siblings, Kay Wilson, Charlotte (Bob) West and Jim (Diana) Blanchard; as well as a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and other family members who loved her.

The funeral is at 3 p.m. Sunday, Jan. 26, at First Baptist Church of Lebanon Junction with Brother Ron Lasley and Brother Jammie Vance officiating.

Visitation is from 1 to 8 p.m. Saturday at Trowbridge Funeral Home in Lebanon Junction and continues at 1 p.m. Sunday at the church.

Oh Sis, I will truly miss you! . I´m so sorry that you had to endure what you went through. We were both hoping you would stay in remission but God had other plans. You were always positive no matter what. I know how much you loved Ron and all the children. We agreed on this, family is everything, but foremost was her love for God. She is in Jesus arms now and out of pain and suffering. You were buried on my birthday and I will never forget you. You are always in my heart . You will be missed by ALL who knew you. My condolences to Ron and your family.
God Bless you Pat I love you Sis!

I didn't know Pat very long. I started buying Avon from Pat and it was a pleasure to see her coming. She seemed like an old friend. She was always ready to give a hug and to visit for a while. Prayers to all her family and friends from Bonnie Helton, Fairdale Ky

My thoughts and prayers for the McCray family. I played Bunco with Pat for several years. What a wonderful and talented lady she was. I am so sad for Ron and her family. I live in Louisville now and did not know she had been sick until I just saw her obituary. I will always remember her for making the best cheese soup. May she rest in peace

"Will the circle be unbroken?" I will never forget that Evans Family Reunion you hosted, opening up your home and grounds, sharing stories, and photos with that Sunday Morning Gospel after a hot, Saturday Afternoon Bingo, Horseshoes with Food Galore. You are the legacy, your children are surely blessed and your life surely a beautiful memory of comfort and inspiration for them and others for all the days of their lives.
