Robert Todd Jr. Obituary
He was a native of Shepherdsville and a lifelong herpetologist, affectionately known as "the Snake Man" of Sonora. He was a U.S. Navy veteran. He also loved fishing and flea markets and was retired from the U.S. Postal Service.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Robert and Alva Todd; his stepmother, Glenna Todd; a brother, John W. Todd; a son, Robert "Buddy" Todd; and Nell, his wife of more than 70 years.
Survivors include his son, Russell Todd (special friend A.J.) of Elizabethtown; two daughters, Robyn (Gary) Parr of Louisville and Rebecca Todd of Cincinnati; and a grandson, Travis (Victoria) Todd of Sonora.
Cremation was chosen with ashes interred in the family plot at Resthaven Memorial Cemetery in Louisville. No services are planned.
The family extends a special thanks to the nurses and staff at Hosparus Health Central Kentucky. Expressions of sympathy may take the form of donations to Hosparus.
Manakee Funeral Home in Sonora is in charge of arrangements.

Mr. Todd was always so kind and thoughtful. Love listening to him talk about different animals. Loved his family. A great loss to our community. Prayers to family in the days ahead of them.
