Tammy Krohn Obituary

Tammy (Adkirson) Krohn was met by Angels and escorted to Heaven on Sunday, July 22, 2012.

She was a lover of the sun and sand, flowers, animals and had a zest for life in general. Tammy was a wonderful mother, wife and friend.

As a military wife for 20 years, she held various positions wherever she might be hanging her hat. Most recently, Tammy worked at Don's Cleaners and as a Realtor for RE/MAX Residential Services. She was an avid supporter of the Susan G. Komen Foundation and a strong voice for caring for animals.

She was preceded in death by one son, Michael J. Krohn; one sister, Tina Adkirson; and her dad, Robert Covey.

Tammy is survived by her husband of 30 years, Anthony "Tony" Krohn; her mom, Hazel Covey of Evansville; "mom and pop," Judy and Gene Krohn of Henderson; three brothers, Chris (Taryn) Krohn of Evansville and Dean and Dennis Adkirson, both of Missouri; and nieces and nephews.

The funeral is at 10 a.m. Friday, July 27, at Ziemer Funeral Home East Chapel, 800 S. Hebron Ave., Evansville, Ind. 47714. Burial follows in Sunset Memorial Park Cemetery.

Visitation is from 3 to 7 p.m. Thursday at the funeral home.

Donations in Tammy's memory can be made to the Susan G. Komen Foundation or the Humane Society of the United States.

Tony,I'm so shocked to hear about Tammy passing and my heart goes out to you. There is nothing I can say to ease your pain, but remember that she is now with Michael again.I hope that thought will give you hope and peace at this time.

Tony,
I worked with Tammy at Fort Knox FCU, and thought the world of her. I learned so much about living life through faith and grace from her. I always think of Tammy when I see roses, and especially struggling with my own bug-ridden, fungus invested ones. Tammy used to bring me gigantic, saucer-sized roses to work, and smile and tell me "it was just Miracle Grow". She had a knack for making everything and everyone around her bloom.

Tony, words are hard to find to put them in the right place so as to ease the pain. What comes to mind was the good times that were shared with each other. I will never forget the wonderful corny cornbread that Tammy made and brought to our house. Our prayers are with you. Rick and Trixie
