Thelma Bernardi Obituary
She was a native of Louisville, a member of Big Spring Baptist Church and retired from Towne Inn in 1993 as a maid.
She was preceded in death by the father of her children, Charles E. Bernardi; two brothers, Edward Lee Hampton and William Ladusaw; a sister, Marie Erickson; her parents, Arthur Martin Hampton and Minnie Lee Ann Malloy Hampton; and a great-grandchild.
Survivors include five sons, George Bernardi, John (Katy) Bernardi and Charles Thomas "Tommy" (Jeannette) Bernardi, all of Rineyville, Earl (Pat) Bernardi of Hopkinton, Iowa, and James (Leisa) Bernardi of Cedar Rapids, Iowa; four daughters, Karen (Jerry) O'Banion of Brandenburg, Dianne Simpson of Indianapolis, Earlene "Inky" (Sherman) Hoots of Louisville and Margaret "Peggy" (Marvin) Butterworth of Hardinsburg; 15 grandchildren, 32 great-grandchildren and 13 great-great-grandchildren; and several extended family members.
The funeral is at 11 a.m. Tuesday, Jan. 22, at Brown Funeral Home in Elizabethtown with Tak Oue officiating. Burial follows in Resthaven Memorial Park in Louisville.
Visitation is from 3 to 8 p.m. Monday and continues at 9 a.m. Tuesday at the funeral home.
