Edd Pelfrey

On April 29, 2025, Edd Pelfrey finished his race and entered into eternal glory.
He was born May 30, 1949, to Homer and Bertha Payne Pelfrey and was a lifelong native of Fannin County.
He was preceded in death by his parents and brothers, Hoyt and Cecil.
Edd was an active member of McCaysville/Copperhill Baptist Church. He had many friends at church, but he especially loved those in his Sunday School Class. Even when he was sick, he insisted he could collect the offering during the service. His faith in Jesus remained, even when his health declined.
He is survived by his wife, Delores Mull Pelfrey; son and daughter-in-law, Terry and Olesia Pelfrey; daughter and son-in-law, Renee and Micah Davis; grandchildren, Abbey and Lily Pelfrey and Elisha and Caleb Davis; brother, Donnie and many nieces and nephews.
Edd loved reading his Bible. He loved working with his son Terry. If you knew him, you know he loved good food. He enjoyed talking with people, and he had a great sense of humor. He was quick with a joke and loved to tell a story, but most of all, he loved God, his wife, his family, and his friends.
Services for Edd Pelfrey were held Saturday, May 3, 2025, at 11 a.m. at Cochran-McDaniel Funeral Home, McCaysville Chapel, with the Rev Matthew McDaniel officiating. Music by Edward Vest and David Ballew. Interment followed at Salem #2 Baptist Church Cemetery in Mineral Bluff, Georgia.
The following gentlemen served as pallbearers: David Ballew, Eddie Payne, Lee Cox, Ethan Huskins, Kenneth Setser, and Kenny O'Neal.
Edd's family received friends Friday evening, May 2, 2025, from 5 p.m. until 8 p.m. at Cochran-McDaniel Funeral Home in McCaysville.
