Fannie Atkins

Fannie Ann Atkins, age 76, of Epworth passed away Friday, November 7, 2025, in Jasper, Georgia.
Born November 27, 1948, in Hall County, Georgia, Fannie was the daughter of the late John Henry Grizzle and Cora Bell Smith Grizzle.
Devoted in her faith, she was a member of Riverside Church in McCaysville. She worked for many years at Levi Strauss & Co., where she served as a seamstress. She was a beloved wife, mother, grandmother, sister, and friend who will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved her.
She was preceded in death by her parents; grandchild, Daniel Mealer; and siblings, Delo Grizzle, Lizzie Lingerfelt, Mattie Jones, Beulah Jones, and Ella Dunn.
Fannie is survived by her husband, Carl Atkins; son, Ronnie Holden; daughter and son-in-law, Patricia Ann Segars and husband, Gary; grandchild, Cody Flowers; great-grandchild, Chloe Flowers; brother, Frank Grizzle (the late Margaret); sisters, Nola Lawson (the late Bryan) and Nora Anderson (Mark Strobe); many nieces, nephews, a host of extended relatives, and dear friends.
Funeral services were held Wednesday, November 12, 2025, at 2 p.m. from the Akins-Cobb Blue Ridge Chapel with the Rev. Gary Queen officiating. Music was provided by Brian and Wendy Bradburn.
Interment followed in the Staffordtown Cemetery with the following serving as pallbearers: Franklin Burk, Jeffrey Lingerfelt, Benny Powers, David Anderson, Ramone Goodwin, and Chris Anderson. Selected to serve as honorary pallbearers were Brian Bradburn and Jeffrey Barnes.
The family visited with friends at the Akins-Cobb Funerals & Cremations of Blue Ridge, Tuesday evening, November 11, 2025, from 4 p.m. until 9 p.m.
