Geree Pittman Obituary

Mrs. Geree Elizabeth Pittman, of Epworth, Georgia, passed away, Saturday, January 11, 2025, following an extended illness.
Mrs. Pittman was born August 8, 1932, to the late Ted and Juanita Seabolt, of McCaysville, Georgia.
Geree was an adored wife, mother and grandmother who was beloved by those who knew her.
Mrs. Pittman was a graduate of McCaysville High School.
She spent her young adult years working as a clerk at Tallent Drug Company before becoming a homemaker.
Geree was a member of Epworth First Baptist Church.
Geree loved gardening and spent the spring and summer months tending to her beautiful flower beds. She spent many evenings cooking for her family and sharing with her neighbors.
Geree's greatest delight was her granddaughter, April, and spending time with her. She will be remembered for her generosity, her kindness, and her love of Mayfield vanilla ice cream.
Mrs. Pittman was proceeded in death by her parents; cherished husband, Max Pittman; and many aunts and uncles.
Geree is survived by her son, Gerald Pittman; daughter, Sheila (Dale) Eavenson; one granddaughter, April (Justin) Nicholson; sister-in-law, Doris Holloway; and many cousins and close family friends.
The following gentlemen will be serving as active pallbearers: Terry Brown, Randy Epperson, Steve Epperson, Mike Pittman, Gary Harper and B.J. Taylor. Honorary pallbearers include: Robert Taylor, Brian Thomas and Theadis Green.
Funeral services were held Wednesday, January 15, 2025, at 2 p.m. at the First Baptist Church of Epworth with the Rev. Dr. Tom Jordan and the Rev. Chris Clark officiating. Music was provided by the Rev. Doug Simonds and Vernon Owenby.
Visitation for family and friends was held at First Baptist Church of Epworth January 15, 2025, from noon until the 2 p.m. funeral service hour. Interment followed the service in the First Baptist Church of Epworth cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Quilt Ministry of First Baptist Church of Epworth.
Cochran-McDaniel Funeral Home was honored to serve the family of Geree Elizabeth Pittman.
