There were not many people, if any, who didn't know Keith. A true story teller – "right" – and an entrepreneur through and through with a kind soul seeking to solve problems in an array of ventures and make others' lives better. He gave of himself selflessly to his family, friends, and community. Keith expressed his love through acts of service filling his well.
Keith Ledford was born in East Point, Georgia, on November 10, 1970, to Tommy and Zenobia Ledford. From the moment he entered the world, he became their pride and joy as they always sought to support him in any situation he encountered. In 1974, Keith became a big brother to his sister, Alison. He embraced his role as protector, confidant, and reliable shoulder to lean on.
Growing up, Keith always brought fun and entertainment to any situation. You never knew if he would be singing or dancing, but he always brought light into the room. His laughter was contagious and his smile was one of a kind.
Keith attended Fannin High School before going to University of Tennessee Chattanooga where he studied and played football as a walk-on defensive and center lineman. He later attended The Wharton School of Business. Keith pursued a variety of opportunities in entrepreneurship seeking innovative ways to solve any problem.
Keith met the love of his life, Tricia Kinnier Ledford, in 2006 while shagging one night with mutual friends prior to dating. Their paths crossed again a year later to forever hold hands. Excited to start their lives together, the two were married in 2009. Keith and Tricia could not wait to start a family of their own, and their children meant the world to them. He led the family on great travel adventures where love and laughter were always prevalent.
Keith and his friends were practically inseparable throughout their lives. From growing up playing ball together to watching their own children do the same. Friendship was at the heart of Keith. He found "his men" in The Ridgemen group devoting time and energy to loving the Lord. Keith found strength among those that surrounded him, but others found great strength in having him in their lives.
Keith will always be remembered for his analogies and the way he could tell a story. We could not have asked for a better husband, father, son, brother, uncle, and friend, and will miss Keith every day. His memory will live on in the hearts of all of those who loved him.
Keith was preceded in death by his paternal grandparents, Bill and Lucille Ledford, maternal grandparents, Clifton and Frankie Williams, great-grandmothers, Ruby Clore and Lexie Long, and aunt, Ann Trammell.
He is survived by his parents, Tommy and Zenobia Ledford; his wife, Tricia of 14 years, and children, Tommy and Tatum; his sister Alison Ledford Danner (Darren) and their son, Hayden; Michelle Goodsite (Dan), Tricia's sister, and their children, Hannah Copp (Hunter) and Walker; Amy Willard (Eric), Tricia's sister, and their children, Clara and Addie; and uncles James Boyd, Frank Boyd, Richard Boyd, Rodney Ledford, and Tim (Barbara) Ledford and aunts Kathy Rodgers and Pat Wise.
